Anti Wrinkle aftercare
Stay up right for 4 hours
Keep hydrated
Avoid touching the face
No make up ideally for at least 12 hours
No vigours exercise for 24 hours
Avoid sun beds saunas & steam rooms
Headaches may occur and only paracetamol should be used if required
Review appointments must be between 14-21 days and are for corrective purposes only
No facials, waxing, micro blading or beauty treatments for 2 weeks post treatment
Dermal filler aftercare
The treated area can be swollen, red and inflamed however this is absolutely normal and take up to 7 days to settle.
Cheeks chin and Jaw line can swell and feel hard or tight this will often soften within 72 hours.
Sleep on your back if possible after the procedure to minimise pressure to the treated area.
Take paracetamol if required.
Bruising is common and to be expected
No sunbeds, sauna’s or steam rooms for 48 hours.
No exercise for 48 hours
Avoid direct sun light for the first 48 hours stay in the shade and apply SPF factor 50 regularly. Sun exposure can worsen inflammation and swelling.
Avoid frequent touching of the area
Avoid make up for at least 12 hours
Avoid alcohol Ibuprofen and Aspirin to prevent bleeding/bruising
Lumps bumps and asymmetry are common within the first 2 weeks and will normally self resolve.
Emergencies
Red flags- signs/symptoms of an adverse event can include:
- Areas of pallor ( pale white patch)
- Extreme pain
- Extreme swelling
- Delayed CRT
- Mottled skin
